Research lab technician

Research lab technician needs 1+ years’ research/ genomics lab experience
Research lab technician requires:
 3-6 month prior experience in a Core or Research lab setting
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to communicate internally with co-workers and externally with Facility clients.
 Sanger sequencing
 Ability to work under pressure, manage competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
 Detail oriented with strong sense of work ownership.
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
 Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Research lab technician duties:
 Work closely with other facility staff to ensure timely delivery of samples to PIs. (20%) Other Facility related functions as needed.
 Rigorous in keeping records related to the Sanger data production pipeline
 Update clients on project progress as needed.
 Performs other related work as needed.
 Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
 Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
 Performs other related work as needed.
