Lab Chemist needs 1 year of lab experience in chemistry or Biochemistry with either a Bachelor or Master degree
Lab Chemist requires:
Trained in fundamental chemistry laboratory techniques (i.e. TLC, recrystallization, solvent-solvent extraction, flash column, prep TLC, etc.)
Analyze various spectral data including 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR, GC-MS, LC-MS, and 2D NMR
Navigate through scientific search engines such as Scifinder to investigate relevant scientific literature and reagents
Proficient in common computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, ChemDraw, and Biorender to create figures for scientific literature
Lab Chemist duties:
Perform accurate and timely testing of routine and some non-routine lab samples in accordance with appropriate
Good Manufacturing Practices and safety guidelines.
Completes second person verification of test results.
Participates in laboratory root cause investigations and quality system improvement initiates by executing well defined protocols and procedures.
Shares technical information and best practice within the group.
Design and evaluation of experiments, methods development and characterization, support of process development / optimization and the analysis and interpretation of data. Conduct studies to validate methods, develop methods, evaluate new technologies.
Sample Analysis.
Sample preparation, instrument set-up and operation, data entry, primary data review. Coordination of method transfers and co-validations.
