Part time Senior Math Editor needs 5+ years of digital content development experience, including understanding of content management systems, Excel, and digital file management (e.g., Box)

Part time Senior Math Editor requires:

35 hours

• Four-year degree in Math, Applied Math, Communications, or Education with Math credential

• Demonstrated understanding of math state and Common Core standards; content equity, diversity, and inclusion (CEID); and proofing procedures

• Experience on a digital product team in a company setting, including Agile and Scrum project management, iterative development, and regular online meetings

• Interest and experience with generative AI and adaptive digital practice

• Interest and experience in data management problem identification and solutioning

• Knowledge of math curriculum, instruction, practice, assessment, and correlations to standards for grades 3-8, including reading literature and informational texts, language (grammar, word choice), and writing.

• Writing and editing short, engaging contextual and non-contextual practice items; and feedback and hints associated with math skills and concepts.

Part time Senior Math Editor duties:

• Review and edit math adaptive practice for grades 3 to 8 including questions, feedback and hints, numbers and equations in LaTeX, illustration specifications, and metadata as directed by an editorial manager. The

• Works with vendors, freelancers, and staff to improve our adaptive practice user experience and items within the established timelines and budgets.

• Uses an Excel tracking spreadsheet, Box folders, and Jira board tickets to perform and track progress on tasks.
